Dr Tharoor delivers a lecture, entitled 'Looking Back at the British Raj in India', and discuses how the British Raj has shaped the narrative around India-UK relations. The former diplomat, who is currently serving as Member of the Indian Parliament, was discussing relations between the two countries at the University's McEwan Hall on Monday 2 October – Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday.
